No problem can be solved from the same level of consciousness that created it

I have been searching for answers and seeking wisdom, in one form or another, my entire life.  My search began, traditionally, with ten years of training and work in the field of mental health, ultimately earning a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Psychology.  I then moved on to thirteen years of training and work in massage therapy, bodywork, and breathwork.  During this time I was Nationally Certified in Massage and Bodywork, Certified in Craniosacral Therapy by the Upledger Institute, completed five years training with Swami Santiananda in Prana Vayu Breathwork, and was a Senior Instructor at the North Carolina School of Natural Healing in Asheville, North Carolina.  In 2002 I began my training with Wilbert Alix.   In 2004 I completed the Trance Dance Facilitator training.

The neo-shamanic teachings of Wilbert Alix are some of the most dramatic and transformative of my life.  Wilbert is an extremely powerful and dynamic teacher who has a strong command of this body of wisdom.  Through his teachings and the practice of Trance Dance, I have been able to immerse myself in the darkness in my life and be transformed by it.  It is as if I was hungry my entire life for some kind of food I could never find, and now, having found it, I feel nourished in a way I never have before!  I am incredibly grateful to Wilbert for bringing Trance Dance into my life.  I now have a practical tool for recovering and retaining my humanity.

As a natural extension of this process, facilitating Trance Dance for others is a great gift and honor for me.   I am always amazed and humbled by the transformative power of this ancient practice.  Trance Dance is truly an ancient ritual for the 21st century, providing food for the evolution of the soul.
