In Trance Dance I found a unique way to tap into my own power and roots, to integrate what I’ve learned and still am, to experience reconnection with Spirit. In this ritual I experience true space to evolve, heal and connect.

Since I was a young age, I‘ve been searching for ways for understanding and reconnection. Art was, to me, an obvious step in this process. In 1998, I finished the Academy for Fine Arts as a Theater costume designer. Ever since then I have been experimenting with different aspects of theatre and visual arts, costumes, space, masks, video, sound and movement, exploring and expressing subconscious images, structures and stories. Theater has been a gateway to spirituality and shamanism to me.

Like a bee searching for sweet wisdom, I traveled to India, North Central and South America and Eastern Europe.

The Teachings that have formed me the most in my early twenties were Voice&Body work with Ida Kelarova, Tai Chi and Rebirthing. Later on Shamanism became more appealing to me.

In a 3 year training program : “Shamanism and Transformation” at Agape (Belgium) I was introduced in Integrative Psychotherapy and the power of Ceremony. There, I met some beautiful teachers from different Native traditions. In this training the tension between Psychotherapy and Shamanism was very present and it became the fuel on my quest for connection, understanding and healing.

In 2007 I started a Sweatlodgeleader Training with Chippowacree Storyteller Ron Evans. Through the depth of this Native Ceremony I found a gateway to learn about and connect with the power of Rituals and Ceremony of my own European roots. Other Teachers who have and are inspiring me in this root-searching are Simon Buxton, Reinhard Winkler, Philippe Car-Gomm and Alexandra Belloni.

At the moment I’m studying; working with the medicine Wheel and Systemic Ritual with Daan Van Kampenhout, Family Constellations with Indra Torsten Preiss and Mickey Masset and continuing my training as a sweatlodgeleader.

In TranceDance I found a unique way to tap into my own power and roots, to integrate what I’ve learned and still am, to experience reconnection with Spirit. In this ritual I experience true space to evolve, heal and connect.

I completed the TranceDance Facilitator Training in Hawaii with Wilbert Alix in 2005. Since then I’ve been Facilitating TranceDance Rituals in Antwerp and Leuven (Belgium). Recently I began working with masks in a Shamanic context and facilitating TranceDance-Mask retreats.
